Definition
Vaginismus is an action that makes the vagina tense but most people experience it at the start of sex. Vaginismus also make intimacy painful (dyspareunia) when the penis is been inserted to the vagina. Vaginismus is always caused by infection, maybe from a toilet disease to sexual transmitted infection or disease (STD, STI), stress, anxiety and depression. Although, vaginismus is not a very serious health issues, but it in some cases, it tends to be a health challenging issue when it is left untreated.
Case studies
Record in the last year, it was stated that twenty percentage (20%) of women had vaginismus. Most women in the world may exeperience vaginismus maybe once in their life time. Other case studies revealed that women who suffers from vaginismus had experienced it for some five (5) years or more. Most women with vaginismus do not seek any help to cure it, which is very bad for the health. Other record stated that out for those women affected with vaginismus has had it for some ten (10) years and more (too bad).
Vaginismus makes you feel pain during sexual intercourse, which will also make you loose interest in it and it also affect the mental health becuase you may want to think about it often. Most people think that the pain is caused by a small and a tight vagina they have, but this concept is not true. Another case study revealed that no vagina is tight nor small for sexual intercourse. Although, the vagina is a litle bit less elastic if the vagina is not aroused but it has no relation to vaginismus, because vaginismus a different thing entirely.

The treatment of vaginismus varies and ranges from counseling and education like this to muscle exercises, and also medication. Sticking to plans of exercise and medications will help to treat vaginismus. But unfortunately, many women will not even want to be educated on how to cure vaginismus, some will even go extra miles to not tell their partner that they have this issue, some will even feel ashamed to tell anyone even medical personnel which is very bad.
The only treatment to vaginismus is to strengthen the vaginal opening either with the help of a dilator set and the most effective way to treat a vaginismus is to involve in pelvic floor physical therapy. The aim is to strengthen the vaginal opening and to reduce the time response by the brain associated with vaginal penetration for painful.
Pelvic floor physical therapy include the strengthen of the pubococcygeus muscle which plays a very vital role in sexual function and sexual stweetness. Increasing the strength of this muscle will bring a lot of thing to your vagina like the strengthen of the vagina opening which will help to reduce the pain you feel during sexual intercouse and also make sex more enjoyable, also during pregnancy, strengthing the pubococcygeus muscle will help the child birth to be more asy because it will support the baby in the birthing process.
Pelvic floor physical therapy exercise includes the likes of kegel, squatting, butt bridge which helps to strengthen the vagina opening. Combining the dilator set and Pelvic floor physical therapy exercise will cure vaginismus within a short period of time.
